One thing that brings my family together is opening up our photo bin collection. Having the moment to reflect on family memories really opens up new conversations with each other and causes us to remember things forgotten. The power of a still image draws deep parts of us out that otherwise, we would have to dig for. Growing as a photographer you begin to notice these tendencies and how you can apply them to everyday life. Living in the digital age we can take so much for granted, even the small things seem meaningless unless we act with intentionality. Ways we can live more intentionally is by sharing our gifts. Growing in my photography business seeking opportunities to network with my community has been about exploring relationships. Pursuing this craft has caused me to ponder these things and my love for hospitality. One of my recent desires is going back to my roots and staying grounded there. It becomes less about the visuals and more about the connections we make in between. Whatever your craft is may it be motivated by a desire to spread joy.
